This is why you see most of the unlicensed NES games sell forВ high prices on eBay or your local retro store. Not even a million copies have been sold for any unlicensed game. Every single unlicensed game had very poor sales. Unlicensed games are probably the only games that deserve the highest prices. FlinstoneвЂ™s was a Blockbuster Video exclusive so it is rare but not a thousand dollars worth. WarioвЂ™s Wood was the last and that game is only being sold for $30. It is a rare game but it wasnвЂ™t the last licensed NES game sold. Holy shit thats a lot of money! I would say this game should be at least $500. This game goes between $800 to $1,000 on eBay and other shops. Now what makes this game crazy is the price. This is because it wasВ a Blockbuster Video exclusive which was released 3 years after the SNES started.

The FlinstoneвЂ™s Surprise at Dinosaur Peak is the most expensive licensed NES game. This makes the gullible buyers spend more than they should have. For a game that is technically rare and hard to find, sellers take the opportunity to over price it.

People do take advantage of a rare NES games and make themВ super expensive. I can understand why this game has gotten expensive because of legitimate research. This double-whammy of poor sales and great graphics isВ the reason this gameВ sells forВ $500.00. ItВ is also known for itвЂ™s highly detailed graphics and gameplay. As time went by people did some research, and they found out this game had very limited sales. For example, Little Samson was worth around $75.00 back in 2010. I can support some the prices of NES games that have recently becomeВ rare. Everyone knows that Kirby, Zelda, Contra should only be worth $5.00 because thereвЂ™s millions of copies out there! The only games that should be worth money are вЂњunlicensedвЂќ games, or licensed games that had extremely poor sales. eBay users intentionally up the prices for their games to make a profit which also makes retro gaming stores follow their lead. They would then scroll through and find a somewhatВ fair price and make you pay that price for the game. IвЂ™ve noticed that when I buy a popular NES game, the store would go on eBay and type in the name of the game. Popularity for retro games is becoming a big deal in the markets. Did Pokemon fans all-of-a-sudden want Game FreakвЂ™s first game? I have no clue, and the gain of its popularity remains a mystery. Today that game is being sold for $25 dollars! The only explanation I can think of is it has gained recent popularity because this is Game FreakвЂ™s (creators of Pokemon) first game ever. One day IВ bought a game called Mendel Palace for $5.00 three months ago. Popularity has become a big deal in sales of NES games recently. But, if thats true why is Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt still $5.00? If anything that game should be $30 dollars because everybody starts out with NintendoвЂ™s most popular NES game. Contra, Zelda, Kirby, Punch-Out, theseВ were huge hits! Everyone had a copy! So why are they now being sold for $25.00 then? My guess would be theВ popularity of buyers wanting the game. Why? These games arenвЂ™t rare because millions were sold. As time went by IВ noticed some of the games I got for $3.00В at a retro video game store, or on eBay were now selling for $25.00 or more.
